There’s still time to join the Derby Parrotheads Relay For Life Team! The deadline to register and get an event t-shirt is this Tuesday, April 20, so please sign up today!

The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Jefferson Co. will be Friday, May 21 from 6:00 p.m. til noon on Saturday, May 22. We’ll be at the Prestonia Lot (where the old Executive Inn was on Phillips Lane) having fun, celebrating life Buffett-style and helping to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays! So far we have raised $781.00 toward our $2,500 goal (not including the chili cookoff money!)

Think you make great chili? PROVE IT! $10 entry fee. Any type homemade chili accepted. Cook at home and bring entry to club. Contestants must provide heat source and serving ladle. Club will provide all other necessities. TWO winners - popular vote by $1 ballots and a Judges winner. Popular winner receives stuffed Margaritaville gift basket filled with great items. Judges winner receives $50 cash and entry fee into Phoenix Hill Tavern’s Chili contest. Official rules will be available by email very soon.

Admission into event for non-contestants is $5.00. Baked goods and hot dogs will be sold. Door prizes, raffles and drawings available. 50% of proceeds benefit Relay for Life.

The event will be held on Saturday, March 27th from 5-8 pm at the Aero Club on Bowman Field.
